My first STYLE post. Woo!
I love styling clothing. It’s probably one of my favorite things to do. Growing up I was raised in thrift stores and loved the thrill of finding items that nobody else had. At seven years old I was a fashionista and a thrift store was my playground.
I love, absolutely LOVE, mixing vintage/thrift pieces with quality signature pieces. When it comes to styling your clothing, I think it’s really important to know that you don’t have to spend your entire paycheck for style. Style is free, so there is no need to over spend. I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter where your clothing is from, it’s about how you wear it. You can pull anything off just as long as you are in love with what you’re wearing. If you’re in love, you’ll feel beautiful and confident. If you’re not, you’ll feel self conscious….I guess we could relate this to relationships as well, BUT we’ll save that conversation for another day.
I am constantly inspired by Free People! This outfit rocks a feminine silhouette, but is toughened up by a rugged boot and a coin necklace. As of lately I have been constantly adding feminine pieces to rugged outfits or tough pieces to my more feminine outfits. I always feel like the final look seems effortless! Add a leather jacket and you’ve turned this day look into an evening outfit.
