Hello, friends! I took a week off to focus on school, but I am back and so happy to update you all on recent happenings. It’s officially midterm week here at SCAD and the photos above depict my life on the daily. First, I start off my day by looking at a beautiful sunrise as I park my car every morning. It can really be difficult waking up so early every morning, but goodness….that sunrise never gets dull. Next off, COFFFEEEEEE. I’ve been finding myself in an occasional trance just thanking God for coffee. I don’t think I could survive a typical day without it. After my morning cup of coffee, class time…….9 hours of class time actually. (Why I need coffee…..a lot of coffee!) A long day of classes really does feel like forever, but the upside is that I get to create and admire some beautiful stuff. Once class is done for the day, studio time. I spend a lot of time after class at the library or the studio to work on my design and drawing projects. I’ve realized that the main difference between my experience at a traditional university and art school is that there is no way you can procrastinate in art school. If you wait until the last minute on projects, you end up mounting really embarrassing work for your critique; it’s inevitable and incredibly haunting. Lastly, my favorite part of the day….sitting on the hood of my Terra letting go of the long day and thanking God for it all. That Terra knows my heart!
I hope you all had a great day!
